Learn to Meditate and Develop a Regular Practice of Meditation over 12 Weeks

 

Many people want to learn to meditate knowing there is something to it that really draws them. Perhaps it is the idea of developing a more spiritual aspect to their lives.

While we know without a doubt that we need something like meditation to balance out our lives, or find out why we don’t feel content, the actual practice of meditation can seem hopeless. Who even knows if they are doing it right?

The Level 1 Meditation Course at meditate was specifically created for people who have similar feelings; people who feel drawn to meditation but also feel lost and somewhat nervous that they won’t be able to sustain a practice.

Request the course syllabus and see how each of the twelve lessons is laid out. This course provides very clear direction on what to do, what to expect in the early sessions, why it gets hard at times and most importantly how to train your mind to allow the meditation to happen. It’s not about trying with all your will power to have no thoughts. We don’t teach it that way for the simple reason that it would take most people years to accomplish such a feat and such an exercise won’t bring you deeper peace.

The peace from meditating comes because you get to know yourself more deeply. You get in touch with what’s important to you, what your deeper feelings are, what truly makes you feel joyful as well as a way to process difficult situations. We all have them so let’s figure out a mature and speedy way to get through things when they turn hard!

Taking the time to sit still and address your inner life is what cultivates peace and balance. But don’t expect your mind and emotions to cooperate immediately. This is why having a Teacher is so valuable. There are many pitfalls along the way where we can get derailed and discouraged. The Teacher will give you guidance so you can understand the different levels of consciousness that you encounter while in a meditative state.
