A Course Designed to Have Students Meditating Regularly by the End of the 12 Weeks
Many have tried meditation knowing there was something to it that really drew them. Perhaps it is the idea of becoming more spiritual.
While we know without a doubt that we need something like meditation to balance out our lives, the actual practice of meditation can seem daunting. How do we know if we are doing it right?
The Level 1 Meditation Course at meditate was specifically designed for people who understand these feelings; people who feel drawn to meditation but also feel lost and somewhat nervous that they won’t be able to sustain a practice.

This course provides very clear direction on what to do, what to expect in the early sessions, why it gets hard at times and most importantly how to train your mind to allow the meditation to happen. It’s not about trying with all your will power to have no thoughts. We don’t teach it that way for the simple reason that it would take most people years to accomplish such a feat and such an exercise won’t bring you deeper peace.
The peace from meditating comes because you get to know yourself more deeply. You get in touch with what’s important to you, what your deeper feelings are, what truly makes you feel joyful as well as a way to process difficult situations. We all have them so let’s figure out a mature and speedy way to get through things when they turn hard!
Taking the time to sit still and address your inner life is what cultivates peace and balance. But don’t expect your mind and emotions to cooperate immediately. This is why having a Teacher is so valuable. There are many pitfalls along the way where we can get derailed and discouraged.
